The IEEE Sarawak SIGHT has organised a brief prize giving ceremony to award the Top 5 best projects demonstrated by the students after joining the “IEEE IoT 4 Community Workshop and Challenge” on February 26 this year. Students were given 1 month to complete the setup and demonstrate in video for judging purposes.
“We are delighted to announce the top 5 best projects, namely Felix Thian Zhi Xiang (SMK Arang Road), Nathan Low (St Joseph Private), Declan Hadrian Anak Sem (SMK Arang Road), Alicia Ong Shi Ting (SMK Kuching High), and Elisha Voon Wubin (SMK DPHA Gapor)”, said Dr. Tay Fei Siang, the organising committee.
The secondary school students have participated the first workshop on 26 November 2021 and the second workshop on 26 February 2022 before they can join the competition which is aimed to aspire the students to further contribute and propose brilliant ideas for the innovations in IoT applications.
“Based on the record, we have successfully attracted more than 60 participants, including students’ teachers and parents to join our two workshops and receive wonderful feedback. We aim to organise another series of IoT workshop in coming activities and would like to thank IEEE SIGHT for the funding support”, said Dr. Then Yi Lung, the IEEE Sarawak SIGHT Chair.
