Members of IEEE Malaysia Sarawak Subsection awarded the IEEE PreU STEM Grants 2023

3 April 2023 – IEEE (US) Pre-University STEM Portal Grant Program announced its 2023 winners during IEEE EdWeek at a live event 3 April at 9:30 AM ET. IEEE Swinburne Sarawak Student Branch (SSSB) with the support of IEEE Sarawak Subsection and Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, won the IEEE US Global Impact with the IEEE PreU STEM Grants 2023.

The project entitled “Wear the Internet with Style” won the grant which was led by two IEEE senior members also the advisors of IEEE SSSB, Dr. Lau Bee Theng and Dr. Mark Tee Kit Tsun, together with graduate members Atiqul Islam, Isaac Asante, and Albe Chai Bing Zhe.

This Grant Program is organized by the TryEngineering.org the home for volunteers who are committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers. The Grant Program is designed to support your STEM outreach work in the community, so that we may Share, Give Back and Inspire. In doing so, we are partnering with other IEEE members who, like us, are interested in finding ways to introduce pre-university students to IEEE’s fields of interest.
