The IEEE Sarawak Subsection, in collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak (SUTS), will be launching a community outreach project titled “Teaching Through Play: Serious Games for Active Learning.”
This initiative will use game-based learning to promote active engagement and digital literacy, particularly among educators. By combining fun with education, the project aims to enhance learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields through serious games that foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The initiative also aligns with one of IEEE’s core goals: to promote community outreach and volunteerism in digital technologies. Through this partnership, IEEE and SUTS will work together to raise awareness and spark interest in STEM among educators, students and the wider community.
